Barmoor Lodge is an Edwardian house on the North Yorkshire Moors with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside from every side. The communal areas are cosy with open fires, big sofas and huge windows with views looking right out over the moors, perfect for curling up in on an early spring evening with a book or to chat to friends. The yoga space itself is in its own building just outside the house, kept super warm by the huge log burner, starting your practice in the dark, the room lit with only the light form the fire and fairy lights, the sounds of breath and movement as the sun gradually comes up. those of you in the later morning class can climb the nearby hill to watch the sunrise before practice. Bedrooms are simple but light and airy. Choose from twin, triple or 4/5 bed rooms.

Each morning will start with a Mysore style self practice class for the more experienced and a led Ashtanga class for those who are less familiar with the practice. In the afternoon there is the opportunity to head out on a guided walk to explore the beautiful
North Yorkshire Moors - we will definitely try to find a wild swim spot for those who like a spot of cold water - if we're lucky we might find some early tiny wild daffodils that the Farndale area is famed for. Alternatively you can explore by yourself, the pretty village of Hutton-le-Hole is a short walk away. Or relax at the house, read a book or play games by the open fires or curl up on a window seat with views right out over the moors. Despina will be on hand offering Ayurvedic Yoga Massage in the quiet room by the fire - the ultimate way to unwind.

In the late afternoon there will be another yoga class focusing on refining your practice through exploration of alignment and technique as well as working with the breath and moving towards mediatation and deep relaxation. We will also make space for journaling - for looking at which direction you want to move towards and what you want to put your energy into as we move into spring. 

The food, as always, is one of the hightlights of the weekend, all plant based, gluten and refined sugar free. (Don't worry, we will provide cows milk for those who need it in their morning cup of tea!). This year the food will be created by Bex of The Mindful Kitchen

7 - 9 am Full primary series led class for all
